When the stakes are high, think rationally

Over the last few blogs, we've spoken extensively on the topic of "when to go with your gut."

Another instance as described by Elizabeth Bernstein of the WSJ.

When the stakes are high. try to think rationally. EVEN WHEN TIME IS TIGHT.

For example, if your gut tells you to jump in front of a freight train to help someone who fell on the tracks, that might be worth risking your life. Same circumstance and if you dropped your wallet or purse— "not so much." You get the idea!

In this instance and example, the rational mind wins out over the gut. Your rational mind will instinctively kick in & distinguish the difference.

The conversation is the relationship—changing our world by changing ourselves—what are you thinking?
