“We don’t friggin’ scare”

"We don't friggin' scare."

Those were the inspirational words uttered recently by General James "Mad Dog" Mattis. This speech was forwarded to me by one of you and I want you to know that I appreciate it. Gives me an opportunity to share it with my audience. Politics aside, while I enjoy the moment.

If words and leadership similarly inspire you, Give a Listen. 3:00 of audio inspiration to kick start your day today. Or, if you prefer, go to YouTube, type "Mattis and Afghanistan" in the search box.

Certainly being one of the "old guard" now, and growing up military, I still find inspiration when great leadership is exhibited through the words people say.

A few nuggets for your reading pleasure:

"We got problems back home that we don't have in the military."

"Hold the line until our country gets back to understanding and respecting each other."

"We got the power of inspiration and the power of intimidation."

"I flunked retirement. The only reason I came back is to serve alongside young people like you. Your selfless and frankly rambunctious. It's a pleasure to be around you all."

"Take care of each other. When you get cold, you get hot, you get sloppy, you get complacent. Don't let it happen."

The conversation is the relationship—changing our world by changing ourselves—what are you thinking?
